Preparation of a speaker cabinet (whether it be new or a rehab cabinet) before application of Duratex.
How to Prep a Speaker Cabinet
Tools: Vinyl spackle, putty knifes, sanding block, palm sander, tack rag
- Use putty knife to fill open joints, cracks and nail holes with vinyl spackle
- Smooth spackle by scraping off extra. This will reduce the amount of sanding you will need to do later.
- Lightly sand over repair area with sanding sponge, block or palm sander.
- Wipe off surface with damp tack rag.
