Q: What surface can I apply CeramaX to?

A: Tile, Bermuda, Shingle, Poured Concrete, Sloped Gravel Roofs, Metal Roofs, Flat Roofs, 90# Roofing, Stucco Walls, Fiberglass 3ply, Bus Tops, Truck & Van Tops, Shipping Containers, Ice Storage Building, and Industrial Equipment

Q: How many coats do I apply?

A: We recommend 2 coats either with a roller or brush.

Q: Is this coating waterproof?

A: Yes.

Q: Do you need primer?

A: We recommend AquaGuard Primer. Apply Therm-X as a base coat to fill cracks and gaps between tiles & shingles.

Q: Can I paint over CeramaX?

A: Yes, with lighter color paint. Dark colors hold heat.

Q: Can I paint on asphalt shingles?

A: Yes, but you will need to use Therm-X as base coat.

Q: Can I use coating in any temperature?

A: No. The surface temperature should be 55 degrees or greater.

Q: What can i use to apply? 

A: Apply with airless sprayer, brush or roller and apply generously using overlapping strokes. Do not brush or roll excessively as this induces foam and reduces coating integrity. Textured and porous surfaces will require more coating.

Q: Do I need to let coating dry before I apply second coat?

A: Yes, depending on the temperature and humidity. Generally, you can reapply second coat within an hour. A full cure achieved within 3 days.

Q: is CeramaX UV protective?

A: Yes.

Q: Can I get CeramaX in any colors?

A: No.

  • VOC Emissions: ONLY 18 grams/liter (.15 lb./gallon) = ZERO
  • UV Resistance: Excellent
  • Fungus / Mildew Resistance: Very High (Contains our unique Bioquell™ System)
  • Dry Time: To Touch – 50 min.@ 70% Relative Humidity
  • Dry Time to Recoat: 3 hours depending on humidity levels
  • Dry Time To Fully Cured: 7 days
  • Shelf Life: 1 year
  • Clean up: Soap and Water on wet material.
  • Thinner: Add a small amount of water if needed.
