Q: What surface can I apply Aqua Guard Primer to?

A: Any raw concrete, stucco, block, porous wood, or other porous surfaces.

Q: Do I have to dilute the product?

A: Yes, this product is a concentrate, you must dilute as follows: To one part of this Concentrated Primer, add 3 to 4 parts of clean water by volume and stir until uniform. For surfaces that are extremely porous or chalky, use the 4:1 dilution ratio and apply the primer mixture more heavily to assist maximum penetration.

Q: How many coats do I apply?

A: We recommend 1 coat.

Q: Can I use coating in any temperature?

A: No. The surface temperature should be 65 degrees or greater.

Q: What can i use to apply? 

A: Apply evenly with a brush, roller, or airless sprayer, covering up to 200 sq ft per gallon.

Q: Do I need to let coating dry before I apply second coat?

A: No, but allow the primer to completely dry before adding any subsequent layers of coating.

Surface Preparation Tips:

  • For concrete: Pressure wash to strip away any contaminants.
  • For wood: Use pressure washing to clear stains and ensure the surface is debris-free.
  • Always allow surfaces to dry thoroughly before primer application.

How to Apply:

  1. Mix AquaGuard Concentrate with water at a ratio of 1 part primer to 3 parts water.
  2. Apply evenly with a brush, roller, or airless sprayer, covering up to 200 sq ft per gallon.
  3. Stir the mixture well to achieve the perfect consistency and prevent it from puddling.
  4. Ensure the surface is clean and dry before application.
  5. Allow the primer to completely dry before adding any subsequent layers of coating.
  6. To prevent film formation issues, avoid applying if rain or dew is expected within the next 4 hours.

Always dilute the primer with at least three parts water for optimal results.
